PBIS in High School

Last month I helped create a little display for our school's word of the month wall. I'm often jealous of teachers in primary grades because PBIS is way more difficult to implement at the high school levels. Because how do you create a rewards system that doesn't feel juvenile or patronizing for students who are nearing adulthood? And, is there anything besides money and food that motivates teenagers? So far, we've found that a final exam exemption reward is pretty motivating. That and giving out school store gift cards.
For teachers PBIS is a infinitely easier. We've done a thankfulness activity where kids give beads and a thank you note to any adult at the school they consider a "source of strength" for them. We've worked on thank you notes and gift card giveaways for attending meetings. And, I hosted a "PBIS Challenge" via email for teachers at our school, but it's much harder to do some of the same things for students.
But I'd love to hear what PBIS looks like at your high school. What are some awesome motivators that you use, and what does your rewards system look like?
